During each Wrangler NFR, the ProRodeo League of Women puts on a style show and luncheon with proceeds going to support the Justin Cowboy Crisis Fund. Wives and family members of Wrangler NFR competitors typically model fashions for upcoming collections from Wrangler Western Wear and 20X by Wrangler.
The proceeds from the annual event have surpassed $700,000 and represent a significant percentage of the more than $4.2 million in assistance that has been granted by the Fund.
The 2006 event was held at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, December 7, 2006. Special models this year included Shada Brazile, wife of the 2006 World Champion All-Around champion Trevor Brazile, Jennifer O'Neil, wife of saddle bronc rider Glen O'Neil, as well as WNFR competitors Cesar de la Cruz, Nick Sartain and Colter Todd. The entertainment was provided by country music star and Wrangler endorsee Trent Willmon.
For the fashion show, Wrangler Western Wear and 20X brands presented the Fall 2007 lines. Wrangler fashions took the crowd back to the '80s with skinny leg jeans and bold jewelry.
The 20X Fall 2007 line was a hit with styles inspired by the designer market. The collection focuses on strawberry and lavender featuring rhinestones, embroideries, glitter and sequins. The emerging '80s trend is also incorporated in the 20X collection.
