Go-Round - 7

Wednesday night, December 6th, was the 7th round of the 10-day 2006 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Competition was intense with the team roping and saddle bronc contests posting new world standings leaders after go-round victories. Reigning world champion bareback rider Will Lowe continues to hold his lead in the world standings by more than $75,000. Round 7, however, belonged to his fourth-place competitor, Bobby Mote. Bobby, the 2002 World Champion Bareback Rider, earned his first victory lap of the event after scoring 84.5 points aboard Bar T Rodeo's Oakey Robin. Trevor Brazile looks to have a lock on his fourth world champion all-around title. He heads into round 8 with more than $117,000 ahead of second place contender Joe Beaver. Three more rounds to go. We'll be watching tomorrow.
