Go-Round - 9

Trevor Brazile, who sewed up his fourth all-around world title on Thursday, set the ProRodeo record for highest single-year earnings with a fifth-place check in Round 9 tie-down roping. With $322,947 earned, he broke the record set just one year ago when bull rider Matt Austin bagged $320,766. Trevor: "I couldn't ask for anything more. Winning my first single-event title (steer roping), then wrapping up the all-around and setting a new earnings record makes it worth all the work I put into it." World titles were also clinched Friday night in the saddle bronc, bull riding and tie-down roping events. Saddle bronc rider Chad Ferley will claim the saddle bronc title; B.J. Schumacher will take the bull riding gold; and, Cody Ohl will earn his fifth event world title in the tie-down roping event. Round 10, Saturday, December 9th, will decide the team roping, barrel racing and steer wrestling events. The bareback riding event was claimed by reigning world champion Will Lowe after Round 8 competition. It's been an incredible ride. We'll greet the new world champions tomorrow.
